Why Do We Need International Schools in India

Education is the soul of society as it passes on from one generation to other. In a country like India where we have the culture of handing over our knowledge and tradition to the coming generation, the bridge between the two should be strong enough. Otherwise the generation gap arises and there will be a huge difference in our perception. If there is a standard understanding is prevailing, the exchange becomes easier. As they say “when schools flourish, all flourishes.”

Nationally standardized education has not yet come in India as we are following international, national and state wise curriculum. But in the last 10 years lot of schools came up with globally standardized curriculum ensuring academic and co curricular activities. Many of them with their incredible performance renowned as best International Schools in India. The curriculum they offer to students is well refined syllabuses like IB (International Baccalaureate), CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and sometimes along with national syllabus like CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The broad academic opportunities facilitate children with thorough knowledge in the subject and highly competitive to meet the necessaries in future.
If we teach students any lesson by creating curiosity in them, they will continue the learning process all through their life. This policy is taken under keen observation in International Schools in India. Most of the learning occurs outside the classroom through various workshops, science projects, seminars etc. Some like Oakridge International School provide experiential learning to their children by participation in learning process. For example they organize Oakridge Model United Nations (OAK MUN) for students for the by and large development while participating during debates, discussions, research presentations. Not only OAK MUN, they organize various co curricular activities in the fields of music, arts, dance, sports, personality development etc.

Oakridge International School is a single example and we can find numerous schools which offer quality education in India. Places like Delhi, Mumbai, Dehra Dun, Kolkata, and many more put forward opportunities like this in front of the students. In south India especially, international schools in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai etc are high in number due to the IT revolution there. The competitive standards set by multinational companies are big and to cop up with this the standards of education had to change. As we said “when school flourish all flourishes.”
