The Oakridge Times - Vizag

We are about to come to the end of yet another exciting academic year. We are quite satisfied with the progress achieved in our academic transactions and also in our efforts to bring about holistic development in the children. We extend our gratitude to each one of you who has graciously supported school in various initiatives such as Oakfit, Time out, Night Camps, Rallies etc. We were also delighted to have you all in school during our 5th Founders Day celebrations. Children performed fabulously and the event was appreciated by one and all.
The school is gearing up for the forth coming session with a number of new initiatives to strengthen the teaching learning process and also conducting various co scholastic activities with a definite achievement that can be measured. We are also looking at providing wide exposure to the students by organizing Student Exchange Programs and also organizing International tours.

Oakridge Visakhapatnam celebrated Republic Day at Campus with great enthusiasm showcasing patriotism. The whole atmosphere was filled with love and respect for country.

IBDP camp for children



Oakridge conducting country’s first ever IBDP residential camp on 23rd & 24th March
13 March 2013, Hyderabad: Learning is always at its best when experiences through real life activities. Oakridge- India’s largest IB world School, is conducting country’s first ever IBDP camp for children to introduce them to the world of knowledge through exciting learning activities.

The 2 day residential camp will be conducted at Mt. Opera on 23rd and 24th March for grade X pass students focusing to introduce about IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum. Participants of the camp will get to interact and involve in the subject area which interests them and confuse them as well. 

Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj, principal of Oakridge Gachibowli campus, says, “The camp is going to be a memorable experience for the entire participant as it will engage them into the learning process. The IBDP camp is going to be an activity based, experiential learning plan where each subject matter will be learned through a program. Since it is a residential camp, there are many segments for every topic and each one will be presented differently. Many of the learning involve group discussions, presentations, self reflections, quiz, and interacting session and so on. 

Participants of the camp will have an ever memorable journey where they will discover about team building, self development, and presentation skills. The world of IB learning will be wide opened for the students who are going for their higher education” he adds.

Leadership Program in Rishikesh - Where Leaders are born


The Oakridge Leadership School (OLS) is delighted to announce the first edition of its Values-Based Leadership Program in RishikeshThis program, built in partnership with Aspire, Babson College (USA) and Snow Leopard Adventures has been rated 4.8 by students on a scale of 1-5 where 5 meant “Significantly Exceeds Expectations”. The one-week, 50-hour residential program in Rishikesh for students of grades 9 through 12 is scheduled from 23rd to 30th March, 2013. Our program is distinctive in using 10 different pedagogies and dual certifications- both from Oakridge Leadership School and from Aspire-Babson.

Snow Leopard will pick students from Oakridge Campus in Hyderabad after the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, 23rd March and fly them to Rishikesh, via Dehradun. They drop the students back at Oakridge Campus in Hyderabad on Saturday, 30th March for the Closing Ceremony.

Art Craft workshop by ROB in Bengaluru

2nd February 2013, Visakhapatnam: Music heals every pain and frees the soul from hardships of life. Music therapy is getting appreciation all over the world and this could be the main reason for it. Music go hand in hand with all the living things from our heart beat to the flowing of water.  Imagine a situation where you can play your own music for refreshment and relaxation and that too under the guidance of an iconic musician. Just imagine!

Oakridge- India’s largest International School, announces a music workshop on 23rd and 24th February for children under the age group of 6-16. The workshop will be held in Oakridge International School Visakhapatnam. Children who have some basic understanding about music are eligible for this workshop.
The workshop will be conducted by famous music director in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada music industry Mr. Ramana Gogula.

Lt. Col. (Retd.)YHVS Prasad, principal of Oakridge Visakhapatnam campus, says, “We are organizing our Weekend voyager program to introduce our children to world of art and technology through various workshops. Ramana Gogula: Ramana Gogula is one of the key names when it comes to music. He is considered as a trend setter who brought out a drastic change in the conventional style of Telugu music through his movies like “Thammudu, Badri, Johnny, Premante Idera and Yuvaraju.” At the age of 17 he made his own rock and roll music band in Vizag. Though he is passionate in music he also software professional and Co- founder and former CEO of a Bangalore based company Liqwid Krystal. Apart from Telugu music industry, he created magic through his music in Tamil and Kannada industry.
