Yoga for Children the Best Way to Reduce Anxiety

Charles Spurgeon says “It has been said that our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but only empties today of its strength”. Up to a level this statement is true as anxiety disturbs the beat of life and put full stop to once to creativity. Unfortunately it affects every human irrespective of status, place, state of mind and age and even kids.

Adults can find out various ways to come over this dilemma but when it comes to young ones the solutions must be apt as it is going to have an effect on their future and before jumping into any solution it is necessary to understand that “why it is happening” particularly to children. There could me many reasons adding fuel to fire like stress at school, unhappy family atmosphere, lack of good friends and  proper guidance and so on. Here we can observe a common thing that is apart from the family issues everything else is related to school and academics for kids through the dilemma.

So it’s understood that schools can bring a drastic change by implementing various programs which can reduce the anxiety level of kids and calm down the disturbed minds. Especially for those kids who study in best boarding schools in India it is a must to reduce stress and apprehension for better performance as they stay away from their family.
Thankfully these days in our country many schools are coming up, particularly international schools in India with plenty of courses which embrace yoga, meditation etc as part of curriculum for the mental tranquility of their students. As an example if we narrow down to one school like Oakridge oakridge International School in Vizag which is a boarding schools, they have made yoga and meditation as part of their syllabus and a proficient trainer is appointed to take care of each student so that the mental peace and happiness can reflect in their personal and academic performances.

Meditation provides each one to discover their strengths and weaknesses and gives the power to concentrate for a longer time. While yoga gives peace of mind through bringing control to one’s body and mind. Both yoga and meditation are accepted worldwide as method to reduce stress and anxiety and bring control to body and mind. If a child knows who he/she is and what are their positive and negative attributes, there will not be any chance for worry and tension.
