Yoga and Meditation for a Healthy and Peaceful Life

People say ‘if we know the divine art of concentration, if we know the divine art of meditation, if we know the divine art of contemplation, easily and consciously we can unite the inner world and the outer world.’ I believe this statement is very well-built and positive about life and the meaning of it. Yoga and meditation keeps you fully alive and make you realize the value of every breath and existence. If I ask anyone what is your ultimate goal or what is that you are looking for in life, I am sure the answer will be peace of mind.  When we are able to attain this through continuous practice of yoga and meditation, why not keep some precious time from our life for this!!

Yoga keeps us healthy, beautiful and maintains the charm in all of us. At the same time meditation provides inner peace, concentration and control on our emotions. I would always suggest we should start this practice from very young age so that we get hold of things around us. So let’s talk about the benefits of practicing yoga and meditation for children. Children are always playful and hate to maintain discipline. It is not their fault because they are unaware of what they are up to. As responsible elders we can instill in them the habit of yoga and meditation as regular practice which will help them in various ways.

Yoga keeps the children physically fit and enforce in them the art of discipline. While meditation gives them focus and concentration on particular things for longer time. Physical and mental fitness is the basic requirement for pursuing anything particularly education. We are very fortunate that there are many schools in India who propagate this message and work on it. Especially the international schools in India are providing much importance to both physical and mental fitness of the child.

Schools like Oakridge Biggest international school in Hyderabad concentrate on holistic education which ensures the involvement of children in the learning practice. For this purpose to keep their children’s sharp mind entire concentration they have incorporated the practice of yoga and meditation as part of their curriculum.Since the world is going in very fast motion and we are losing our life in trying to make happiness, let’s pause for a while and think about the things which can give us health, happiness, focus and the most important peace of mind. Make yoga and meditation a part of your life, and experience the difference in life.
