An ancient saying says: “The bond that links your true family
is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.” Family
atmosphere is foundation behind every person and it leads to the character
development of them. Especially for children family is the mirror through which
they see the world. It gives them the initial understanding about the world
outside the window and from these bits and pieces they create their own
understanding and point of view.
People say a happy family is nothing but an early heaven.
There are some things which contribute to the better family atmosphere where
children can nurture. They are:
Relationship and
bonding: It is a
known fact that children learn from elders. The first and foremost
characteristic a child should learn is to love each other. For instilling this
quality in them, we have to make them understand what love is and why we love
each other. The love and affection which they experience and see in their
parents, grandparents, siblings and even friends will create an idea in the
mind of the child to show love towards others.
Culture and societal
values: It is very
important for all of us to follow social values as we are human beings. The
manners and behavior we carry forward for a harmonious living in society comes
the family and these are inevitable to be a part of the civilized society.
Culture adds more flavors into it to make our lives balanced.
Better understanding: As the family goes, so goes the
nation and so goes the whole world in which we live. It is the understanding
between each other makes it special. Parents should understand children and
children should be able to understand parents. Then it becomes a complete
family.
Joe Manchin says “Every child should have a
caring adult in their lives. And that's not always a biological parent or
family member. It may be a friend or neighbor. Often times it is a teacher.”
This is a very true statement as children always require care and protection. Sometimes
or with some people it might not be possible for the family to show that care
or they might not have a family at all. Schools
and teachers play a big role here to mold the child into the right path. When a
school or teacher succeeds in bringing up children to lead a happy and healthy
life in society they can be called the best
schools are teachers.
The love of family and the admiration of friends are much
more important than wealth and privilege.
